Tea Tree & Lavender Facial Toner

This is an excellent astringent for blemish prone skin, and may be used daily to help reduce the appearance of redness. MAKES ABOUT 1 CUP (ENOUGH FOR ABOUT 30 APPLICATIONS)

• 16 ounces distilled witch hazel
• 2 Tbsp. calendula petals
• 2 Tbsp. chopped comfrey root
• 2 Tbsp. lavender buds

1. Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and shake well. Place the jar in a warm, dark place (like a bathroom cabinet). Shake once a day for 2 weeks. The mixture will be the color of iced tea when ready. Strain and discard herbs.
2. Apply astringent with a cotton ball after washing your face with a mild soap, morning and night.
Facial toner will keep for up to 6 months.
